There will always be a yin and a yang. Think of it as complementary (rather than opposing) forces that interact to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the assembled parts. A perfect example of this principle is the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons created by Chuck Jones. Where would one be without the other?

This artwork just arrived and will soon be up for online pre-bidding at ChuckJonesCenter.org. Online pre-bidding closes tomorrow evening at 6 PM and will resume live on Friday, May 11 at noon. Write to info@ChuckJonesCenter.org for proxy bidding information.

What? You didn’t know Miro was a Bugs Bunny fan?

This work and more than 100 others have been donated ‘anonymously’ by artists, both professional* and amateur, to the Red Dot Auction, a fundraiser for the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity. Online pre-bidding has opened, visit ChuckJonesCenter.org/RedDot to view the collection. Exercise your genius!

*The artist who donated the above work is a well-known and -respected children’s book illustrator.

Meet Craig Kausen, chairman of the nonprofit public charity, Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, and Chuck Jones’s grandson. (Rabbit ears run in the family.)

He’s also inviting you to attend Play It Forward!, the fall fundraiser for the Center. This year, a local business is sponsoring the first 100 families to sign up at PIF4Creativity.org by using SPONSOR100 (case sensitive) as the coupon code when checking out. It’s a $50 value! And it’s the best time you and your family will have all Sunday afternoon!

And those rabbit ears? They’re one of the unique raffle items that will be given away that afternoon. Plus, there’s an awesome Silent Auction, too, prebidding is now live at PIF4Creativity.org!
