We’re working on a catalog raisonne of the Chuck Jones hand-painted cel art editions, titled, “The Animated Art of Chuck Jones”. The first volume will contain works from 1977 to 1989 and is expected to be completed in September. 

The color call-out sheet along with a color model cel art for “Western Group” from 1980 are shown. The final version of “Western Group” had a yellow sky. The background was hand-made using Pantone paper. Chuck Jones’s original line drawing was silk-screened onto an acetate sheet and each cel was hand-painted using cel vinyl by expert cel painters.
